DFM’s market cap adds AED 6bn on Thursday

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up by 1.92% or 51.02 points by the end of Thursday’s trading session, closing the session at the level of 2,701.48 points.

Liquidity registered AED 269.18 million where 101.77 million shares were traded through 2,867 transactions.

The market cap value increased by AED 6 billion reaching AED 369.83 billion.

The banks' sector index advanced by 3.32%, while the services sector solely dropped by 2%.

Khaleeji Commercial Bank surged by 12.79%, whereas Arabian Scandinavian Insurance fell by 9.88%.

Emirates NBD recorded the highest turnover of AED 117.95 million, while Deyaar Development led the trading activity through the exchange of 16.75 million shares.

Moreover, Emirates NBD was among the top rising blue-chip stocks, as it gained 5.88%, followed by DXB Entertainments with 2.44%, while Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) rose by 1.51%.
