DFM’s real estate sector up; Emaar on top at Wednesday open

Dubai – Mubasher: Three stocks of the real estate sector on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) were notably active during early Wednesday’s trading, assuring the strength of these firms' assets.

By 10:40 am UAE time, Emaar Properties’ stock led the sector’s trading by AED 14.7 million, obtaining 19% of the market’s total liquidity of AED 79.2 million, rising 0.84% to AED 8.39.

Meanwhile, Arabtec Holding’s stock edged up 0.30 to AED 3.33, with a trading volume of 2.83 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 9.35 million.

Similarly, Deyaar Development’s stock inched up 0.6% to AED 0.524, with a liquidity of AED 1.5 million through the exchange of 2.86 million shares.

The stocks ascended in line with reports that stressed the stability and power of these real estate firms despite the obstacles currently facing the contracting sector.
