Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a bearish performance this week due to a decline in the real estate, investment and telecom sectors.
The general index lost 3.43% or 114.80 points to 3,229.87 points.
The real estate sector fell 4.56% after Arabtec Holding and Emaar Properties levelled down 7.9% and 2.6%, respectively.
The investment sector decreased 6.12% as Dubai Investments and DFM Company retreated 5.97% and 5.34%, respectively.
The telecom sector went down 3.60%, dragged by du which declined 3.60%.
The banks sector slid 1.89% after Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) fell 4.42%.
The market saw trading of 1.04 billion shares this week, compared to 1.59 billion shares last week.
Turnover stood at AED 1.277 billion, compared to AED 1.77 billion.
