DFM sees upward trend in early trades

Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened at a rise in Tuesday’s early trades amid the bullish performance of leading stocks led by Emaar Properties, Arabtec Holding and Dubai Islamic Bank.

DFMGI gained 1.76% or 56 points to reach 3,230.2 points by 10:40am UAE time.

The market saw trading of 98 million shares through 1,440 transactions, with turnover of AED 107.73 million.  

UAE markets need to maintain an upward trend in the coming sessions to exit the fluctuation zone and regain investors’ confidence, analysts told Mubasher.

The investment sector was the best performer after rising 2.8%, backed by Dubai Investments and DFM Company which increased 2.5% and 4.6%, respectively.

The real estate sector advanced 2.76% as Arabtec and Emaar increased 3.45% and 2.74% in a row.

The telecom sector levelled up 1.4%, spurred by du which grew 1.4% to AED 5.07.

The banks sector increased 0.63% as Dubai Islamic Bank and Amlak Finance went up 1.02% and 3.45%, respectively.
