Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Monday’s trading session on a positive note, backed by selective buying on some of the blue-chip stocks.
The DFM’s general index added 13.36 points, or 0.49%, to 2,729.04 points.
The bourse’s turnover stood at AED 148.513 million after seeing a trading volume of 85.939 million shares exchange through 3,039 transactions.
Market capitalisation gained AED 675 million and closed the session at AED 359.039 billion.
The consumer staples sector rose by 1.58%, followed by the investment and financial services sector that levelled up 1.01%.
Similarly, the real estate, the banks, and the services sector went up by 0.70%, 0.28%, and 0.17%, respectively.
Emaar Properties was the most active stock by value with a turnover of AED 33.033 million, while GFH was the most active stock by volume with a trading volume of 17.427 million shares.
