Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw an upward trend on Thursday due to the rise of blue chips in the real estate and banks sectors.
The general index rose 0.66% or 18.2 points to reach 2,771.3 points.
The real estate sector topped gainers after rising 1.3% as Emaar Properties and Arabtec Holding grew 1.72% and 0.87% in a row.
The investment sector increased 0.7% after Dubai Investments and DFM Company grew 0.65% and 0.93%, respectively.
The telecom sector advanced 0.19% as du went up to AED 5.16.
The banks sector inched up 0.13% as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) added 0.15%.
Trading volume reached 157 million shares after exchanging 1,700 transactions, generating AED 146 million.
