DFM sheds 13.37 pts on Tuesday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Markets (DFM) has closed Tuesday’s trading session on a negative note.

The DFM’s general index tumbled 13.37 points, or 0.46% at 2,876.44 points.

Trading volume amounted to 166.159 million shares that were exchanged at a turnover of AED 433.893 million through 3,457 transactions.

The real estate sector fell by 2.08%, followed by the investment and financial services sector that went down 0.85%.

On the other hand, the banks, the consumer staples, and the services sector rose by 0.94%, 0.37%, and 0.14%, respectively.

Market capitalisation lost AED 735 million and closed the session at AED 374.584 billion.

Emaar Properties’ stock led the decliners with a decrease of 2.32% to AED 5.05, while Ektittab headed the winners with an increase of 5.31% to AED 0.218.

Emirates NBD was the most active stock by value with a turnover of AED 279,070 million, while Aan Digital Services was the most active stock by volume with a trading volume of 33.522 million shares.
