DFM snaps early gains in mid-session

Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a negative performance in Thursday’s mid-session, weighed by selling pressures on leading stocks of Emaar Properties, Arabtec Holding and Dubai Islamic Bank.

The DFMGI declined 0.64% or 19.24 points to reach 2,981.71 points by 12:30pm UAE time.

The transportation sector lost 1.05%, weighed by Aramex and Air Arabia which fell 1.3% and 0.83%, respectively.

The real estate sector slid 0.88% as Emaar and Arabtec decreased 1.85% and 0.97% in a row.

The investment sector retreated 0.73% after Dubai Investments contracted by 0.92%. Meanwhile, DFM Company rose 0.92%.

The banks sector levelled down 0.31% due to a drop in Dubai Islamic Bank and Amlak Finance by 0.53% and 1.63%, respectively.

The telecom sector decreased 0.4% as du slumped to AED 4.96.

Turnover reached AED 143.6 million after 117 million shares were traded through 2,110 transactions.
