DFM spurred by foreign, institutional buying

Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai's bourse got a boost from foreign and institutional buying during the third week of December.

The main index rose by 2% or 64.25 points to close at 3,137.32 points, compared with last week’s closing level of 3,073.07 points.

Foreigners recorded a buy/sell difference of AED 7.5 million as they bought and sold shares worth AED 256.2 million and AED 248.7 million in a row.

UAE investors were net sellers of AED 456.3 million after recording buying and selling transactions at a total value of AED 790.5 million and AED 806.5 million, respectively.

Institutions purchased shares worth AED 350.3 million and sold shares worth AED 293.4 million, with a buy/sell difference of AED 57 million.
