Dubai- Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has maintained the bearish trend on Tuesday, losing AED 1.22 billion at the end of the trading session.
The DFM’s general index closed Tuesday 0.28% down, slipping 7.6 points to 2,725.87 points.
Market capitalisation fell to AED 355.96 billion by the end of the session, shedding around AED 1.22 billion from AED 357.18 billion on Monday.
The insurance sector led the top losers with a 4.45% decrease, pressured by Islamic Arab Insurance Co’s (SALAMA) stock which fell 7.3% to AED 0.556.
Likewise, the services sector dropped 1.29% as National Central Cooling Co’s (TABREED) stock slid 1.9% to AED 1.56.
The investment sector levelled down 0.94%, whereas the telecommunication sector and its sole stock, DU, dropped 0.59% each.
Similarly, the real estate sector inched down 0.38% as Arabtec and Emaar Development declined 2.96% and 1.93%, respectively.
In the same vein, the banks sector slipped 0.10% as Emirates NBD fell 0.84%.
On the other hand, blue-chip stocks such as AirArabia, DXB Entertainments, Dubai Islamic Bank, SHUAA Capital, and Dubai Commercial Bank have seen a bullish trend on Tuesday.
The bourse’s turnover amounted to AED 130.11 million as 122.76 million shares were exchanged through 2,451 transactions.
