DFM suffers losses at Sunday’s open

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a negative performance in Sunday’s early trades.

The general index retreated 0.26% or 8.67 points to reach 3,383.33 points by 11:50 am UAE time.

The banks sector declined 0.83% as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) and Al Salam Bank retreated 1.58% and 0.11%, respectively.

The telecom sector fell 0.75% as du went down 0.75%.

The transportation sector declined 0.52% as Gulf Navigation Holding and Arab Insurance Group (ARIG) levelled down 2.78% and 0.98%, respectively.

The services sector slid 0.47% after Tabreed and Amanat sank 1.43% and 0.88%, respectively.

Turnover amounted to AED 98.65 million after trading 70.025 million shares through 1,067 transactions.
