Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) general index grew by 25.56 points, or 0.9%, to 2,790.42 points in January 2020.
Market capitalisation increased to AED 382.51 billion over the month, compared to AED 374.17 billion in the previous month.
The banking sector added 3.8%, while the consumer staples sector jumped 6.2% and the telecom sector gained 4.5%.
Meanwhile, the investment sector went down by 0.3%, while the real estate and transport sectors shed 2.1% and 3.5%, respectively.
Dubai Islamic Bank increased by 3.6%, whereas Emirates NBD surged 5.8% and DXB soared 6.1%. Dubai Investments grew by 0.7%, du rose by 4.5%, and Aramex gained 0.5%.
Arabtec dropped 21.7%, Damac Properties lost 6.3%, and Deyaar Development decreased by 5.3%.
Emaar Properties, Emaar Development, and Emaar Malls levelled down by 0.5%, 2.8%, and 0.5%, respectively.
