DFM turns to red in mid-session

Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a downward trend in Tuesday’s mid-session, pressured by the banks and real estate sectors.

The general index lost 0.63% or 18.48 points to reach 2,897.52 points.

The banks sector fell 1.68%, weighed by Emirates NBD which declined 8.18%.

The real estate sector slid 0.20% after Emaar Malls Group dropped 1.9% to AED 2.51.

On the flipside, the telecom sector rose 0.1% as du and Hits Telecom Holding increased 1% and 0.3%, respectively.

The investment sector advanced 0.22%, followed by the services and transportation sectors at 0.16% and 0.13% in a row.

Turnover reached AED 156.36 million after 128.07 million shares were traded through 2,181 transactions.
