Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) began trading on Sunday in the red, dragged down by the investment and telecom sectors and shrugging off analysts’ expectations of a further rise.
By 10:20am UAE time, the DFMGI edged down 0.01% or less than 1 point to 3,572.02 points.
Turnover reached AED 32.73 million after 27.40 million shares changed hands through 304 transactions.
The investment sector led losers, shedding 0.16% after Dubai Investment declined 0.46%, while the telecom sector and the stock du were down by 12% each.
On the other hand, the real estate sector gained 0.10% backed by Emaar and Union Properties which were up 0.14% and 0.13%, respectively.
