DFM widens losses on Arabtec in mid-session

Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) deepened its losses in Sunday’s mid sessions, dragged Dubai Islamic Bank and Arabtec Holding.

The market saw trading of 175.4 million shares through 2,300 transactions, with turnover of AED 152 million.  

The main gauge lost 1.18% or 37.72 points to reach 3,166.56 points by 12:20pm UAE time.

The banks sector fell 2.52% as Dubai Islamic Bank declined 4.7%.

The investment sector decreased 1.3% as DFM Company and Dubai Investments retreated 2.52% and 0.98%, respectively.

The real estate sector declined 0.48% as Arabtec Holding levelled down 1.82%, while Emaar Properties gained 0.17%.

The telecom sector increased 0.4% as du went up 0.4% to reach AED 5.05.
