Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) general index lost 27.9 points, or 0.92%, to close at 3,002.96 points on Wednesday on the back of the banks and investment sectors.
The real estate sector shed 1.8% after Emaar Properties sank 1.4% to AED 5.61, while the investment sector fell 1.45%, as Dubai Investments declined 2.14% to AED 1.83.
The transportation sector decreased by 1.05% after Air Arabia lost 0.83% to AED 1.2.
The telecommunication sector and its only stock, du, went down 0.92% each, while the banks sector inched down 0.02% after Ajman Bank sank 1.11% to AED 0.98.
On the other hand, the consumer staples sector grew 2.15%, as DXB Entertainments increased by 2.36% to AED 0.39.
The DFM’s trading volume reached 116.26 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit AED 137.11 million.
