Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened Tuesday on the downside, pressured by blue chip stocks, particularly Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) and Emaar Properties.
The DFMGI shed 0.21% or 7.46 points to 3,531.87 points by 10:40am UAE time, shrugging of analysts’ expectations.
The banks sector lost 0.42% after DIB saw a similar decline, while the real estate sector was down 0.10% after Emaar tumbled 0.14%.
The investment sector edged down 0.06% after SHUAA Capital lost 1.7%.
Turnover reached AED 41.09 million after 36.6 million shares were exchanged through 578 transactions.
