DIB, Emaar drag DFM into red at open

Dubai-Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) witnessed losses in Thursday’s early trades, pressured down by the fall of blue chips especially Dubai Islamic (DIB) and Emaar Properties.

The general index declined 0.31% or 11.82 points to reach 3,472.12 points.

The banks sector lost 0.82% as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) slid 1.6%.

The investment sector retreated 0.6% after DFM Company went down 1.5%. In addition, the real estate sector fell 0.4% due to a decrease in Emaar Properties by 0.7%.

The market saw trading of 100 million shares through 1,175 transactions, with a turnover of AED 98.68 million.
