DIB inks e-mortgage deal with Dubai Land Department

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) and the Dubai Land Department (DLD) have announced signing an e-mortgage agreement that will bolster the emirate’s digital transformation and support all parties’ transactions.

DLD director general Juma Bin Humaidan and DIB deputy CEO Mohammed Abdulla Al Nahdi signed the deal on Saturday.

The agreement aims to save customers both time and effort by integrating DLD and DIB services. This will minimise the procedures for submitting documents for mortgage contract registrations by processing them through DLD’s electronic mortgage system, eliminating the need for customers to visit DLD or any of its service centres,” the DLD said in a statement.

Bin Humaidan commented that the DLD’s deal with DIB, the UAE’s largest Islamic bank, comes in line with the department’s efforts to support the digital transformation of the emirate of Dubai as well as provide convenient transactions for all parties.
