Dubai, UAE; 10 January 2018: The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) on Wednesday announced that the New York-based Rockwell Group has been appointed as the Interior Architect for one of Uptown Dubai’s two tall towers.

Situated on 10 million square feet, the mega-development will comprise hotel rooms and suites, high-end restaurants, health spas, along with 237 branded residences, the DMCC said in a statement.

“We are excited to work with Rockwell Group to create a breath-taking experience with global appeal, and what will become one of Uptown Dubai’s two iconic super-tall towers,” said Ahmed Bin Sulayem, DMCC’s executive chairman.

In September 2017, the DMCC began the construction of Uptown Dubai District, which comprises 7 towers, in addition to over 10 million-square-foot commercial and residential space.

“We are excited and honoured to be a part of the creation of the new Uptown Dubai district. We look forward to working closely with DMCC to create a modern, luxurious and innovative hotel and residences that celebrate the vision of Uptown Dubai.” David Rockwell, Rockwell Group’s founder and president, commented.
