Mubasher: Dubai’s DP world has expressed interest in investing in Egypt’s 10th of Ramadan dry port and connecting it by railway to the Sokhna Port currently run by the company.
Egypt’s transport minister Hesham Arafat and head of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Mohab Mamish met with DP World chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem in Dubai, a statement by the Ministry of Transport said on Monday.
The ministry added that both sides discussed mutual co-operation to develop the ports’ services system and the documentation process for goods, containers, and shipment.
The ministry also explored means of cooperation in dry ports and logistics areas with the Dubai-based company.
The parties agreed to form a team to conduct studies for these projects, which will see collaboration from Egypt’s transport ministry, SCZone, and DP World.
