UAE - Mubahser: DP World UAE Region has launched the ZODIAC training programme, developed by The Ports and Terminals Training Center (P&TTC), to contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the supply chain globally.
The training programme was introduced after the ZODIAC automation system had been implemented in Jebel Ali Port’s Container Terminal 3 (CT3), according to a press release on Sunday.
The ZODIAC digital system manages the rail and inland container depot (ICD), controls the container freight station, and provides real-time container location tracking, clearance, and delivery with billing systems, supported by the Internet of Things (IoT).
Covering 16 different areas using 18 internally integrated systems, the training programme aims to raise awareness about the ZODIAC's capabilities among businesses and companies to have better access to the supply chain.
The Director – Operations Support of DP World UAE Region, Mohammad Belshalat, said: "The cornerstone in building these capabilities is by qualifying our employees and users so they can benefit from our digital systems and adopt them in their operations and transactions.
Belshalat added: "It has been accredited by City & Guilds, one of the world's most prestigious bodies in accrediting training content."
