DTCM, China's Huawei ink MoU to boost Dubai’s tourism sector

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) on Wednesday announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China's Huawei Consumer Business Group.

The MoU is aimed at promoting Dubai’s position as a preferred destination for visitors from the Middle East, Africa, and China, the DTCM stated.

Under the new MoU Huawei will share images, videos, events services, and online booking schemes with the DTCM.

“The deal will help us achieve that goal by increasing awareness of Dubai's key selling points, including local culture and heritage, gastronomy, retail, entertainment, and adventure across the Middle East, Africa and China travellers," said Issam Kazim, DTCM’s CEO.

“The partnership will help redefine traveller experience in Dubai with cutting-edge technology and service excellence,” Gene Jiao, Huawei Consumer Business Group’s president for the Middle East and Africa, commented.
