Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai World Central Airport (DWC) registered an 84.5% growth in passengers in 2016, according to a new report released by Dubai Airports.
DWC recorded 850,630 travellers last year, compared with 461,060 travellers in 2015, the report said.
Cargo and shipments were marginally up by 0.8% to 897,990 tonnes last year compared to 890,190 tonnes in 2015.
Meanwhile, airplane movements at the airport decreased by 5% to 38,670 movements in 2016, from 40,950 seen the year before.
