Dubai – Mubasher: Dalma Capital has launched Quencia Saudi Equity, the first fund located at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and focuses on investing in the Saudi stock exchange (Tadawul).
Launched under the umbrella of Quencia Open Ended Limited, the fund will be available only to professional clients, according to a company statement released on Tuesday.
“The launch is coming at a very interesting time for the Saudi market as the country is witnessing a major economic and social transformation,” Dalma Capital’s managing director for asset management Majed Kabbara commented.
The fund is aimed at generating medium- to long-term capital appreciation and at maximising total return relative to the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) index.
“The introduction of this new fund demonstrates confidence in DIFC as the region’s leading fund domicile by clients such as Dalma Capital and provides investors with unique access to opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” DIFC’s chief business development officer Salmaan Jaffery said.
