Dubai - Mubasher: DAMAC Properties opened on Saturday the Trump International Golf Club Dubai at DAMAC Hills, with guests of honour including Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., the sons of the US president, Donald Trump.
Hussain Sajwani, the chairman of DAMAC, said that it is an honour to stand here today with Eric and Donald Trump Jr., as well as dignitaries and prominent members of the business community, to celebrate yet another outstanding milestone for our city Dubai.
The new 18-hole golf course spans over a total area of 7,205-yards, and is located ten minutes from Sheikh Zayed Road and sits at the heart of the 42-million square foot DAMAC Hills, according to the company’s press release.
The Emirati developer assured in January that there has been negotiations regarding a new business deal with the American president, however, last month in his first press conference as president, Trump stressed that he refused a two billion dollar business deal in Dubai, which he said was offered to him by Damac’s chairman Hussain Sajwani.
Damac previously made many deals with Trump in recent years, including another golf court designed by Tiger Woods that is expected to be opened next year.
