Dubai – Mubasher: Daman Securities on Tuesday announced joining Nasdaq Dubai as a member to trade equity derivatives.
The move will enable Daman Securities’ clients “to make gains whether share prices rise or fall, by trading futures on the exchange,” the firm revealed.
Joining Nasdaq Dubai as a member comes as part of Daman Securities’ expansion strategy, which previously included becoming a member of the bourse’s equity market in March 2017.
Commenting on the membership addition, managing director of capital markets at Daman Investments Nabil Al Rantisi said that Nasdaq Dubai’s equity derivatives market will enable Daman to offer attractive new hedging and investment opportunities to its clients which comprise institutions and high net worth individuals.
“The exchange’s single stock and index futures, combined with leverage and the margin facilities that we can provide, are flexible tools that enhance investors’ ability to make gains and protect the value of their existing portfolios,” he added.
Dubai-based Daman further revealed that its addition to Nasdaq Dubai derivatives traders comes ahead of its planned expansion into the UAE and the GCC. Daman’s expansions will include product offerings, broker participation and investor access, it said.
