Mubasher: Dana Gas’ unpaid receivables from the Kurdistan region of Iraq declined to $713 million by the end of 2016, compared to $727 million in 2015.
The company has world-class fields in Kurdistan to be developed and is moving towards successful resolution on its arbitrations, according to a press release.
A consortium including Dana Gas, Crescent Petroleum and Pearl Petroleum filed an international arbitration case over Dana Gas' rights and the amount it was owed by the Kurdish government.
As a result, the British High Court had ordered the Kurdish government to pay the consortium $100m within 14 days.
