Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Dana Gas filed a pre-emptive lawsuit on 16 June in the High Court of Justice in London to protect its interests against any adverse action in connection with its sukuk Al- Mudarabah by representatives of the sukukholders, according to a bourse statement.
A further UK High Court hearing was held on 4 and 5 July to consider whether or not the interim injunction Dana obtained on 16 June should be continued. And the company succeeded on all the legal arguments upon which it relied until a trial scheduled for September.
The English Judge found that Dana has a “seriously arguable case” and that the balance of justice was in favour of it.
The judge ordered Dana to make certain undertakings and to stay the legal proceedings there until the outcome of the UK trial.
