Mubasher: DeSimone is currently competing with other firms for six projects in across three GCC member states, managing principle Ahmed Osman told Construction Week Online.
The projects are distributed across Dubai, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, he added.
"We are working on a few projects at the moment in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and we are also bidding on projects outside of the UAE," DiSimone’s official managing principle further noted.
In Dubai, DeSimone is bidding for one project, while in Kuwait, it is bidding for two projects, the top official revealed.
In Saudi Arabia, the firm, which specialises in offering structural engineering consultancy, façade, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) analysis consultancy services, is bidding for three projects, Osman said but did not mention further details about the locations or values of these projects.
US-based DeSimone will see some large expansions in the coming period, Osman said, but could not predict the number of projects his company will undertake.
DeSimone is currently providing structural design consultancy services for the skyscraper Wasl Tower.
