Cairo – Mubasher: Delta Sugar signed a protocol of cooperation with UAE-based Al Wahdania General Trading Company to boost mutual cooperation in a bid to raise the production capacity, Ahram Gate reported on Thursday.
This deal will open up new markets for Delta Sugar in view of the Egyptian government’s plans to develop state-run factories, the company’s chairman Ahmed Abou El-Yazeed said.
It is noteworthy Delta Sugar has a production capacity of 350,000 tonnes of sugar and sugar refinery capacity of 300,000 tonnes.
During the first half of 2019, Delta Sugar posted a net profit of EGP 211.07 million, compared to EGP 255.81 million in the prior-year period.
