Digital content monetisation firm Telecoming enters Egypt

Cairo – Mubasher: Telecoming has entered the Egyptian market with the aim of enhancing digital entertainment in the most populous Arab nation.

Firstly, the leading company in the development of digital services monetisation technologies will distribute the digital contents of Real Madrid through mobile operators in the Egyptian market, according to a statement on Tuesday.

With a penetration rate of mobile devices around 94% and more than [100 million] users, Egypt is one of the most attractive markets for digital services development,” the statement showed.

This step comes in line with the company’s strategy to promote its presence in Africa.  

Since 2015, Telecoming has worked on monetising digital content in the region in collaboration with mobile operators.

Telecoming’s operations director for the North Africa, Ali Karaosman, said, “Through previous projects, we have checked the extraordinary dynamism of the African digital market, where users demand innovative services and a differential user experience. And there, Egypt shows a huge potential for the mobile business.”

Telecoming aims to invest EUR 500,000 in the region over the coming months.
