Doha’s output freeze deal to balance oil market

By Ahmed Awad

Kuwait - Mubasher: The agreement concluded yesterday between some OPEC member countries and Russia will achieve oil price and market’s stability, said Nawal Al-Fuzaia, Kuwaiti OPEC governor.

“Any deal made between OPEC and non-OPEC countries will back their economic interests, leading to the recovery of oil prices in the upcoming period”, she exclusively told Mubasher, ruling out any emergency OPEC meeting over lowering oil prices before June, 2016.

Oil ministers of Qatar, KSA, Russia, and Venezuela agreed Tuesday in Doha to freeze oil output at January’s level, which is an agreement to be offered to major producers for making final decision, Qatar’s Energy Minister said.
