Domty's Q1 profit rises 11%

Cairo – Mubasher: Arabian Food Industries Co (Domty) reported an 11.45% year-on-year (YoY) rise in its consolidated profits during the first quarter of 2020.

The company achieved net profits of EGP 32.1 million in the January-March period, compared to EGP 28.8 million in the year-ago period, according to a bourse disclosure on Monday.

Meanwhile, sales levelled up to EGP 744.8 million in Q1-20 from EGP 654.8 million in Q1-19.

As for standalone business, Domty logged EGP 29.1 million in net profits in the three-month period ended on 31 March, up from EGP 24.51 million in the corresponding period a year earlier.

It is worth noting that in 2019, the company’s net profits inched up to EGP 156.16 million from EGP 154.6 million in 2018, including minority shareholders’ rights.
