Dubai-Mubasher: Telecom operator du will cut roaming charges for mobile phone users travelling within the GCC from Friday, in line with a regional agreement, according to a statement.
The GCC Secretariat General said roaming charges within the six-member bloc would be slashed by an average of 40% starting from 1 April.
Roaming customers will now be charged AED 0.95 per minute for all local calls made within the visited GCC country, AED 0.29 for SMS and AED 4.77 per MB for both prepaid and postpaid customers.
