UAE - Mubasher: Dubai Chamber has recorded a 21.8% year-over-year (YoY) rise in the value of exports and re-exports to AED 147.3 billion in the first eight months of 2021.
A higher value of exports and re-export is attributed to a recovery in Dubai's trade activity, according to a recent press release.
In August 2021, the Chamber's exports and re-exports jumped by 43.9% YoY to AED 21.4 billion, with 58,154 issued certificates of origin.
The GCC has topped the export market for Dubai Chamber in the January-August period of 2021, with a 16.4% increase in exports and re-exports to AED 79.6 billion.

The President and CEO of Dubai Chamber, Hamad Buamim, said that Dubai Chamber is cooperating with its partners in the public and private sector to support the five-year plan announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to raise the emirate's foreign trade from AED 1.4 trillion to AED 2 trillion.
