Dubai Chamber takes new step to strengthen UAE-India ties

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has opened an office in India to promote mutual investment cooperation between the subcontinent and the UAE.

The new office is the chamber’s second in India and tenth worldwide.

“As the world’s sixth largest economy, India is clearly an engine of global growth that offers tremendous business potential and growth prospects,” Dubai Chamber’s president Hamad Buamim commented.

In the first six months of the year, the number of Indian companies registered with Dubai Chamber recorded 38,238, up 38% from 2015 figures, data released by the Dubai Chamber on Monday showed.

“Economic reforms and development plans in India are gaining momentum and creating new business opportunities in sectors such as infrastructure, logistics and urban planning which companies in Dubai can surely benefit from,” Buamim added.
