Dubai – Mubasher: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President of the UAE, on Tuesday launched the construction works of Dubai Metro Route 2020.
Route 2020 is a 15-kilometres metro line, running 11.8 km above ground and 3.2 km underground.
Earlier, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid had approved awarding the Route 2020 construction bid, worth AED 10.6 billion, to Expolink consortium, which consists of French, Spanish and Turkish firms.
