Dubai – Mubasher: Strategic Housing Group (SHG) is set to manage the construction of an 1820-room student housing community in Dubai International Academic City (DIAC).
Named The Myriad Dubai, the project is slated for completion in 2020, according to an official statement.
Situated on 58,000 square metres, the planned community will comprise fully furnished rooms equipped with en-suite bathrooms and internet – along with sports facilities, swimming pools, a squash court, a basketball court, retail stores, and parking spaces.
“Dubai has rapidly transformed into a leading higher education destination in the region, attracting thousands of transnational students yearly,” DIAC’s managing director Mohammad Abdullah commented.
Following its completion, the project will be managed by an SHG’s unit, The Myriad, and sponsored by FIM Partners, an investment management agency.
“We are believers in this very exciting project, given its strategic location in the heart of DIAC and the clear shortage of purpose-built student housing in Dubai,” vice president of real estate at FIM Partners Fares Bou Atmes said.
Strategic Housing Group, a fully integrated real estate project development, management, financial and marketing consulting firm, gave no further details on the cost of the project.
