UAE – Mubasher: Dubai Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) chairman Mattar Al Tayer on Saturday announced the completion of 45% construction works on the bridges and roads leading to Dubai Hills Mall.
Undertaken by RTA in coordination with Emaar Properties, the AED 780 million project is expected to be completed within the first six months of 2020, according to a statement.
The project is aimed at ensuring the smooth flow of traffic from and to Dubai Hills Mall, Umm Suqeim Street, and Al Khail Road.
“The project encompasses the construction of 12 bridges spanning 3700 metres with a width varying from 11 to 22 metres in addition to ramps connecting the bridges measuring 2500 metres,” Al Tayer stated.
Consisted of four lanes in each direction, the new bridges will separate the traffic from Umm Suqeim Street and Al Khail Road, boosting the traffic capacity in the area.
Al Tayer commented: “The project covers the construction of internal roads at Dubai Hills Estate to ease the movement of residents of Al Barsha South 1 and 2, and link them with new roads and bridges.”
Dubai Hills Mall is a joint venture between Emaar Properties and Meraas.
