UAE - Mubasher: Dubai's foreign trade with the UK reached AED 21.5 billion in 2020, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
The trade exchange between Dubai and the UK comprised AED 16.3 billion imports, AED 1.6 billion exports, and AED 3.6 billion re-exports.
This announcement was made during a meeting between Dubai Customs and its British counterpart.
The Director-General of Dubai Customs, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, said that the emirate and the UK have seized 198 million cigarettes and 122 tonnes of illegitimate tobacco products before entering the UK.
Musabih further remarked that Dubai Customs has set AED 7.1 billion stimulus packages to help businesses to recover from the severe impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
