Dubai-Mubasher: Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, approved a resolution on the collection of fees from passengers using airport facilities in Dubai, according to WAM news agency.
Every passenger leaving the UAE from any of Dubai’s airports, including transit passengers, will be charged AED 35.
Dubai welcomed a total of 78 million travelers in 2015, an increase of 10.7% compared to 2014.
The new service fee could earn Dubai some AED 2.73 billion ($743 million) in additional annual revenues, based on annual passenger traffic.
