UAE – Mubasher: Dubai has become one of the world’s best seven cities for retirees, according to a recent report by the American business magazine Forbes.
Living as a retiree in the UAE emirate has become much easier now after the government unveiled its retirement visa programme, the report highlighted.
In September 2018, the UAE Cabinet announced the visa programme which provides retirees over the age of 55 a five-year residency, with the possibility of renewal.
The report also showed that the prices of units in downtown Dubai, including Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, start at a few hundred thousand dollars up to about $7 million for the penthouses.
It is worth noting that Forbes has also chosen the French Capital Paris, Ticono in Switzerland, Italy’s Stresa, Cascais and Estoril in Portugal, and Zinkwazi in South Africa as the best cities for living as a retiree.
