Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai World Trade Centre has awarded two contracts worth AED 1.2 billion to establish Expo Village near Expo 2020 in Dubai, MEED magazine reported.
The Indian Shapoorji Pallonji Group has won the first contract at a value of AED 650 million to build area 8 and area 9 of the project.
Meanwhile, the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) has won the second contract valued at AED 620 million to set up area 10 and area 11, according to Al Bayan newspaper.
Given that Expo 2020 Dubai has awarded two major construction projects worth AED 670 million to UK-based Laing O'Rourke.
The six-month Expo 2020 Dubai will be held on 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021.
