UAE – Mubasher: The Dubai Investment Development Agency (Dubai FDI), the Department of Economic Development’s (DED) investment development agency, on Wednesday announced it has recently hosted the latest edition of ‘Public-Private Connect’ at The Address Boulevard hotel.
This step came in line with Dubai’s economic vision with the aim to improve the investment environment in the emirate and boost collaboration opportunities between the public and private sector, according to a press release.
The Public-Private Connect was attended by UAE government officials, key global investors and other private sector entities to tackle the latest achievements and regulations within Dubai’s investment community.
The event has eased the connection between investors and government entities to cement existing networks, enabling them to exchange ideas and insights among industry experts.
Fahad Al Gergawi, CEO of Dubai FDI, said: “The ‘Public-Private Connect’ has always effectively worked as a platform in improving the ease of doing business in the emirate, which further highlights Dubai’s readiness as an investment destination of choice.”
“The strong number of attendees from leading foreign multinational companies in Dubai is testament to the continued interest in Dubai’s ability to facilitate a smooth investment journey for investors which is reflected in the emirate’s leading position as the preferred FDI destination in the Middle East and North African region,” he added.
Furthermore, Dubai FDI is extending its investment presence to investors through the ‘Aftercare’ initiative, which offers them designed solutions that improve investment processes.
The ‘Aftercare’ initiative also provides investors with “an open communication channel between public and private entities and a platform to raise policy recommendations that would address investment barriers.”
Dubai FDI was able to post a total of 78 different requests for support from 26 companies from leading countries such as Brazil, Canada, Switzerland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, and the US through the event.
