Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Tuesday’s volatile session in the green zone.

The general index rose 0.1% or 3.78 points to reach 3,725.06 points.

The market managed to maintain its uptrend, spurred by the rise of blue chips led by Emaar Properties and Arabtec Holding, capital market analyst Gamal Abdel Hamid said.

Stability of the main index above 3,720-3,723 points will lead the market to see more gains despite investors’ anxiety over annual financials, the analyst added.

The banks sector topped gainers with a 0.5% rise, backed by Emirates NBD which added 2.4%.

The real estate sector went up 0.34% after Arabtec Holding And Emaar Properties gained 1.45% and 0.8% respectively.

The transportation sector advanced 0.03% as Aramex increased 0.5%.

On the flipside, the investment sector fell 0.48% as Dubai Investments declined 1.14%.

The services sector retreated 2.07% after Amanat Holdings slid 2.35%.

The main index will continue to rise to 3,818 points if it stablises above 3,723 points in the coming sessions, Abdel Hamid added.
