Dubai bourse sees losses at open

Dubai-Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened at a decline on Monday, weighed down by the investment and real estate sectors.

The main index lost 0.2% or 6.11 points to reach 3,482.06 points by 10:30am UAE time.

The investment sector was the worst performer after falling 0.85%, pressured by Dubai Investments and DFM Company which retreated 0.9% and 0.7% respectively.

The real estate sector slid 0.25% after Emaar Malls Group levelled down 1.69%.

On the flipside, the banks sector advanced 0.14% as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) gained 0.2%.

The market saw trading of 76.68 million shares through 980 transactions, with a turnover of AED 91.10 million.
