Dubai gov’t takes measures to incentivise growth

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai government has stated that it will waive a group of fees on aviation and real estate transactions, as part of the UAE's plan to boost economic growth.

The emirate decided to waive 19 fees imposed on the aviation industry and aircraft landing in a bid to attract over AED 1 billion dirhams in investments, Bloomberg News reported, citing Dubai’s executive council.

Other plans also have been approved to freeze private school fees for a year and exempt businesses from some charges.

Earlier in June, Abu Dhabi government stated that it would invest AED 50 billion ($13.6 billion) over three years to bolster the UAE’s capital and biggest sheikhdom’s economic growth.
