UAE – Mubasher: The Emirate of Dubai hosts the 5th International Conference on Future Mobility (ICFM) which is run at the Grand Hyatt on 26-27 November, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
The two-day conference is organised by the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA). ESMA’s director general Abdulla Abdulqader Al Maeeni unveiled plans to integrate new technology into Dubai’s infrastructure.
“We recognise that technological advances based on the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution are the key to the development in this field. The future of the automotive and transport sector will be radically different from the past,” Al Maeeni said.
ICFM attracted experts from international specialists and regulators who delivered their expertise on the future of travel and autonomous vehicles during the opening day of the conference.
“As we look at the challenges and opportunities from new technologies to growing organisation and climate change, we should bear in mind that cooperation, collaboration and consensus provide much greater results than the sum of its parts,” International Organisation for Standardization’s (ISO) deputy secretary general, Nicolas Fleury, commented.
