UAE – Mubasher: Hotels in the emirate of Dubai have recorded around AED 4.75 billion ($1.29 billion) in revenue during the first four months of 2019, according to official data issued by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
The number of guest nights in the emirate reached 11.52 million in the four-month period, and the average return on a hotel room hit AED 412, data showed.
The average price of a hotel room in Dubai stood at AED 498 per night during the January-to-April period of 2019.
Meanwhile, the average length of stay of visitors in the emirate reached 3.5 nights, according to the DTCM.

Earlier this month, the DTCM announced that Dubai welcomed around 4.75 million visitors in Q1-19, with a hotel occupancy rate of 84%.
The relevant authorities are keen on achieving Dubai Tourism Vision by attracting 20 million tourists and adding 36,000 rooms to the emirate’s hospitality portfolio to reach 140,000 rooms by 2020.
